Dev’s Bins & Services provides bin rental in Port Coquitlam at a flat $300 rate for any size from 8 to 30 yards, with disposal billed at $198 per ton on the actual weight of your load. One price for the bin, one for fuel, one for what you throw out and all three quoted before we deliver.
Port Coquitlam is about forty-five minutes from our yard in Mission. Worth booking with a day or two of notice rather than same morning, but there is no zoning surcharge on PoCo addresses and no premium for taking a bigger bin.
A garage and basement clean out in a 20 yard bin mostly furniture, boxes and household goods, call it 1.5 tons comes to roughly $637. A kitchen renovation with tile and drywall runs heavier at around 2.5 tons, or about $835. The bin size barely moves that number; the weight does all of the work.
We deliver throughout Port Coquitlam: Mary Hill, Citadel Heights, Birchland Manor, Lincoln Park, Riverwood, Oxford Heights, Woodland Acres, Glenwood, Central Port Coquitlam and the Dominion Triangle. Both the residential streets and the commercial and light industrial properties along the Mary Hill Bypass are regular work.
Compared with the hillside neighbourhoods next door in Coquitlam, PoCo is largely flat, and that makes it one of the easier places we deliver. Wide streets, generous driveways in the post-war neighbourhoods, and enough room in most cases to set a 30 yard bin without a conversation about access first.
The housing stock skews to the 1960s through 1980s across Birchland Manor, Oxford Heights and Central Port Coquitlam, which means a steady diet of kitchen and bathroom renovations, roof tear offs, deck and fence removals, and basement suite conversions. Newer areas like Citadel Heights and Riverwood produce more new build and landscaping debris.
On any home built before the mid-1990s, get the drywall, flooring and pipe insulation tested for asbestos before demolition begins. BC safety regulations require those materials be identified before work disturbs them, and finding out after a bin is full is the expensive version of that discovery.
Port Coquitlam has a lot of housing at the age where the roof is due, and roofing is where bin sizing goes wrong most often. A single layer of asphalt shingles off an average home runs two to three tons and will look like a half empty 15 yard bin while already sitting at legal road weight. On roof jobs we will usually recommend a 10 or 15 yard rather than a 30, and swap it if needed.
Port Coquitlam is part of the Metro Vancouver solid waste system, and most loads off local jobs go to the United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre in neighbouring Coquitlam. Metro Vancouver’s accepted material rules apply, which differ from the Fraser Valley Regional District rules covering Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission. We handle that routing.
How much does bin rental Port Coquitlam cost?
$300 flat for the rental regardless of size, plus $40 fuel and $198 per ton for disposal. Most residential jobs come in between $600 and $900. No zoning surcharge applies in Port Coquitlam.
Do you deliver to Mary Hill and Citadel Heights?
Yes we cover all of Port Coquitlam including Mary Hill, Citadel Heights, Birchland Manor, Lincoln Park, Riverwood, Oxford Heights and the Dominion Triangle.
What size bin do I need for a roof tear off?
A 10 or 15 yard for a typical single family home. Shingles are heavy enough that a bin looking half empty is often already at weight capacity.
How much notice do you need for delivery?
A day or two is ideal. We are based in Mission, about forty-five minutes east, so Port Coquitlam is better planned than same morning. Call (604) 356-6562.
Do I need a permit for a bin in Port Coquitlam?
Not for a bin on your own driveway or property. For street or boulevard placement, check with the City of Port Coquitlam.
Do you take commercial and construction bins?
Yes, including bin swaps on longer builds and multi-trade sites across Port Coquitlam.
Call (604) 356-6562 or email devsdisposal@gmail.com with the job and the address, and we will confirm the size, the timing and the price.
