Areas We Service

Dev’s Bins & Services runs disposal bins out of a yard in Mission, BC — which puts us near the middle of our service area rather than at one end of it. That is the practical advantage of being a Fraser Valley company rather than a Vancouver company working outward: most of the addresses we serve are twenty to forty minutes from the yard, and that is what makes short-notice deliveries and same-week bin swaps workable instead of theoretical.

We deliver 8, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard bins at a flat $300 rental rate across every area listed on this page. Below is where we go, what changes from place to place, and where to find the details for your city.

Our core service area

These are the communities we work in most days of the week. Most have their own page with local pricing examples, neighbourhood coverage and the disposal rules that apply there.

Abbotsford

About twenty minutes from the yard and one of our busiest areas. Interior renovations dominate — Clearbrook and Sandy Hill are full of 1970s and 1980s homes on their second or third kitchen — alongside roof tear-offs, deck removals, basement suite builds and construction debris from the newer developments in Auguston and Eagle Mountain. We also cover the agricultural properties out across Sumas Prairie, Matsqui, Bradner and Mt. Lehman. Full details on the bin rental Abbotsford page.

Chilliwack

Roof tear-offs make up a large share of our Chilliwack work, since Sardis and Promontory have a lot of housing stock hitting the twenty-to-twenty-five year mark. We deliver across Sardis, Vedder Crossing, Promontory, Garrison Crossing, Fairfield Island, Little Mountain, Rosedale, Greendale, Yarrow, Ryder Lake and Cultus Lake, plus farm and outbuilding cleanouts through the Chilliwack River Valley. See the bin rental Chilliwack page.

Mission

Our home base, and the one place where we can usually solve a same-day problem. Mission work is access work — Hatzic, Cedar Valley, Silverdale and the properties running up toward Steelhead mean sloped driveways, gravel lanes and turnarounds that were never designed for a roll-off truck. If you are unsure whether your driveway works, a photo from the street answers it in about ten seconds.

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows

Straight across the river from us, so one of our fastest turnarounds. Two job types dominate: basement and suite builds through Albion, Silver Valley and Cottonwood, and estate or downsizing cleanouts in Hammond, Haney and Whonnock. Worth knowing that Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows sit in the Metro Vancouver waste system rather than the Fraser Valley Regional District, so the disposal rules differ from Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission. Details on the bin rental Maple Ridge page.

The wider Fraser Valley

Beyond the four cities above, we regularly work the acreages and rural properties across the valley — Dewdney, Deroche, Silverdale, Nicomen Island, Hatzic Prairie and out toward Agassiz and Harrison. Acreage jobs need one conversation up front about driveway length and ground conditions, because a loaded roll-off is heavy enough to sink into soft ground. For an overview of pricing and coverage across the region, see bin rental Fraser Valley.

Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland

West of the valley we cover the Tri-Cities, Langley and Surrey as core parts of our service area, each with its own page. Drive times are longer than they are in the Fraser Valley, so these are better booked with a day or two of notice — but the pricing is identical, and there is no zoning surcharge on any of them.

Coquitlam

About forty-five minutes west of the yard. Coquitlam splits into two distinct kinds of job: new construction and recent-build renovation up on Burke Mountain and Westwood Plateau, where bulky light material calls for a bigger bin, and heavier demolition work through Maillardville, Austin Heights and the older streets around Como Lake, where weight limits arrive before the bin looks full. The hillside neighbourhoods need a word about driveway pitch before we deliver. See the bin rental Coquitlam page.

Port Coquitlam

Flat, wide-streeted and one of the easier places we deliver — most PoCo driveways take a 30 yard bin without a conversation about access first. The housing stock through Birchland Manor, Oxford Heights and Central Port Coquitlam skews 1960s to 1980s, which means a steady diet of kitchen and bathroom renovations, roof tear-offs and suite conversions, while Citadel Heights and Riverwood produce more new-build and landscaping debris. Details on the bin rental Port Coquitlam page.

Langley

About forty minutes down Highway 1, making it the closest part of our extended area and the easiest for short-notice work. Langley is really three markets: new construction through Willoughby and Walnut Grove, established housing being renovated in Brookswood, Murrayville and Fort Langley, and a substantial agricultural land base — Salmon River, Campbell Valley, Milner, the Otter District and the acreages around Aldergrove — producing barn and outbuilding cleanouts. We serve both the City and the Township. See the bin rental Langley page.

Surrey

Roughly forty-five minutes to an hour depending on which part — Cloverdale and Port Kells are closest, South Surrey and Whalley furthest. Surrey covers more housing types than anywhere else we serve. Secondary suite construction is the standout, alongside new builds through Clayton Heights and Grandview Heights and renovation and demolition work across the older stock in Newton, Whalley, Guildford and Bridgeview. Full details on the bin rental Surrey page.

Also within our service area

We deliver to these areas as well, on the same terms:

  • Port Moody and the rest of the Tri-Cities.
  • Delta — North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.
  • North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
  • Vancouver and Richmond — note that these two carry an additional $80 zoning surcharge, which does not apply anywhere else we serve.

If your address is not listed anywhere on this page, it is still worth a call. We travel for the right job, particularly on larger projects or where a customer needs several bins over a few weeks.

What stays the same everywhere we go

Pricing does not change by city. Every address in our service area is billed the same way: $300 flat for the bin rental regardless of size, a $40 fuel surcharge, and disposal at $198 per ton based on the actual scale ticket for your load. The only exception is the $80 zoning surcharge on Vancouver and Richmond.

The bin range is the same everywhere too — 8, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yards, with a flat rental rate across all five so that choosing a size is a practical decision about your job rather than a budget decision.

So is the prohibited items list. No hazardous or flammable materials, paint, solvents, fuels, propane tanks or aerosols, tires, batteries, electronics, appliances containing refrigerant, pressure-treated wood, asbestos-containing material, medical waste or contaminated soil. That list comes from provincial regulation and facility rules, so it holds regardless of which city you are in.

What changes from place to place

Two things, and both are ours to manage rather than yours.

The first is which waste system your load falls under. Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Mission are part of the Fraser Valley Regional District’s system, while Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Langley, Surrey and everything west of them sit in Metro Vancouver’s. Different facilities, different accepted-material lists, different fees. Chilliwack’s Bailey Sanitary Landfill on Matheson Road and the Maple Ridge Recycling and Waste Centre on 236 Street operate under separate rulebooks. We handle the routing; it only becomes your concern if you plan to haul part of a job to a facility yourself, in which case it is worth a phone call before you load the truck.

The second is drive time, which affects how quickly we can get to you and how easily we can swap a bin mid-job. Mission, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Chilliwack are all short runs. Langley is close behind, then Surrey and the Tri-Cities. Vancouver, Richmond and the North Shore take longest and are better booked with more notice.

Services available across the service area

Bin rental is the core of what we do, but every area listed on this page can also book excavation, retaining walls, driveway and walkway paving, artificial grass and turf installation, hardscaping and landscaping, small equipment transport, and snow removal and salting through the winter months. On projects where the demolition, the disposal and the rebuild all need doing, running one crew across the whole sequence saves a lot of coordination.

Frequently asked questions

What areas do you deliver bins to?

Our core area is Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Langley and Surrey. We also serve Port Moody, Delta, North and West Vancouver, Vancouver and Richmond.

Does the price change depending on my city?

No. The rate is $300 flat rental plus $40 fuel and $198 per ton disposal everywhere we go. The only exception is Vancouver and Richmond, which carry an extra $80 zoning surcharge.

Do you deliver to rural and acreage properties?

Yes, regularly. We just need to know about driveway length and ground conditions before the truck arrives, since a loaded roll-off can sink into soft or wet ground.

How quickly can you get a bin to me?

It depends on distance and the day’s schedule. Mission, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Chilliwack are short runs and same or next day is often possible. Langley, Surrey and the Tri-Cities are better booked a day or two ahead. Call (604) 356-6562.

My address isn’t listed — can you still come?

Probably. Give us a call. We travel for larger projects and for customers who need several bins over a few weeks.

Do you serve commercial and construction sites?

Yes, throughout the service area, including bin swaps on longer builds and multi-trade sites.
